Job Description

The Georgia Tech Research Institute seeks student assistants with interest in the areas of software development and testing. Candidates will support SEAL’s Command, Control, and Communication Program Office (C3PO) in a variety of programs that focus on the analysis, technology assessment and prototyping of C2 nodes and platforms. Candidates will support teams designing the analyses and implementation of alternative hardware and software technologies to update these nodes, as well as the prototyping of next generation technologies.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university during working semesters
  • 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MATLAB, C, and Mathematica
  • Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
  • Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas

Hours per Week

10–20 hours per week

U.S. Citizenship Requirements

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Clearance Type Required

Ability to obtain Secret Clearance upon hire
