Job Description

The Research Intern defines, conceptualizes, describes, and manages an engineering solution specific to the enterprise system. Responsible for understanding the architecture, design, and development of software built for sponsors, specifically focusing on fully automated deployments during Spring 2025. Additional responsibilities include understanding how integration with third-party software vendors will impact the system and providing guidance on impact to the enterprise. This position will interact with government sponsors and government technical experts to translate business requirements into technical requirements and provide guidance to technical teams for execution of requirements.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field of study
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
• 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in 1 or more programming languages
• Task / team leadership experience
• Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
• Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
• Configuration management tools
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
• Familiarization with Windows systems

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.

Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
