Job Description

Georgia Tech Research Institute's (GTRI) Support Services Department (SSD) is currently seeking a student assistant to begin working part-time for the Fall 2025 semester at our Atlanta and Smyrna locations. The student will work under the guidance of a GTRI Construction Project Manager 1 to perform the following activities which will provide a solid foundation for the student in many business administrative duties such as Escorting vendors, Assisting with Projects, spreadsheets, sharpening computer skills, and other admin duties.

Student assistants will:

  • Respond to emails and answer general questions and referring to CPM’s projects
  • Make simple posting to various departmental or other records according to standard procedures on the computer.
  • Escort contractors through our facilities
  • Update Department manuals and computer files input or edit using MS Excel.
  • Additional duties as required.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant/Research Assistant

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s  or Associates degree.
  • Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
  • 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA
  • Excellent written and oral communication as well as strong organizational skills
  • This job requires operating or maintaining standard office equipment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Morning and/or early-afternoon availability preferred, flexible hours

20 hours per week

Due to our research contracts with the US federal government, candidates for this position are required to be US Citizens.
