Job Description

The Intelligent Sustainable Technologies Division (ISTD) within Aerospace, Transportation, and Advanced Systems Laboratory (ATAS) is seeking a dedicated Student Assistant to support research initiatives focused on morphometric algorithm development starting Fall 2026. Core responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data, preprocessing files, code development, 3D modeling and imaging analysis. The student will also play a key role in assisting with documentation, reporting, and collaborative efforts to drive progress across a multidisciplinary research project.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Student Assistant

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering and Aerospace Engineering
• Must be registered for at least 6 credit hours with your university
• 3.2 or higher cumulative GPA

Preferred Qualifications

• Analytical and critical thinking skills, accountability, strategic thinking and planning, software development, debugging, working in teams, attention to detail, customer service focused
• Strong technical skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
